Welcome to the Learning World.  Are you ready to learn?  Great!  Do you know what a dictionary is?  A dictionary gives you a meaning of words.  Example: Monster- A monster is an imaginary creature that is strange in size, shape, and color. This word will be in a dictionary.  Now let’s look at some meanings of words.  The dictionary is divided in to different sections.  Say we were looking for the word monster.  We would look in the M section.  We are going to start in section A.  Let’s look at the word accident.  Do you know what accident means? An accident is something that happens by mistake.  Let’s look at acorn.  Do you know what an acorn is?  An acorn is the hard nut of the oak tree. Can you say acorn in a sentence?  Let’s look at act.  Do you know what act means?  Act means?  To act is to pretend to be something that your not.  Can you say act in a sentence?  Let’s look at airport.  Do you know what an airport is?  An airport is a place where airplanes take off and land to take people places.  Can you say airport in a sentence?  That is all for now!
